Choosing yourself over others means less yes than nos. Think of your why and cut off social demands that don't contribute to your value. Be ruthless on your goals. Thanks for reminding us this
Exactly. I agree with you. People normally get confused and just stay opressed. They have to understand that it's better to speak out for yourself sometimes even if it seems ruthless. In the end it's all for the good. I really liked this post!
This is great, Harun, and something I learned later in life. Having a strong sense of self is essential—to know what our needs and wants even are so we can prioritize them. Life improves drastically when we can do as you suggest.
Also, I look forward to reading your poems, fiction, or any other way you choose to express yourself. ☺️
Agreed , you have to be "ruthless" and safe guard yourself.
Subtracting unnecessary possessions, commitments, and distractions provides clarity and presence.
Focusing on yourself isn't selfish, it's about filling your own cup so you can pour into others from a place of abundance rather than depletion.
Spot on, Tinashe!

Thank you so much, Ayesha.
To be ruthless simply means to do what’s best for you.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much for your kind words, Jenn.
It means a lot to me.
A good essay, Harun, especially when it comes to subtracting the unwanted from our lives. Here, ruthlessness is the key.
Thank you, Patrick.
I'm glad you found it to be of value.
